A funeral is not a place to bitch and cast aspersions…

I have to say it drives me nuts when people use a funeral, or a memorial service as a political opportunity. First the Wellstone Memorial, now the King Memorial. People like Jimmy Carter and Rev. Joseph Lowery ought to be ashamed of themselves for exploiting an incredible womans memorial for political gain. Rhetoric like that may make them feel superior since the crowd ate it up in the face of President Bush sitting right there, but it does little more in my mind than to sully her memory. Yesterday is going to end up being remembered for their outbursts and not for the memory of Coretta Scott Kings achievements in life.
